The bail is spring loaded to ensure the catch stays closed. 1 1/8" long x 1" wide, up to 1-3/16" long and 1-1/16" wide, when open snap bail extends 3/8" below bottom. Hole centers 13/16". Does NOT include screws. Requires #2 wood screw
