Self balancing lid support means that the lid will stay in any position partially opened. Continuous opening and closing tension on this support saves fingers from slamming lid when properly installed. Use on boxes with 3/4 inch thick backs. Load range 30-60 pounds. 5 inch long from pivot to pivot in extended position. 85 degree opening. Use right or left or center. An approved style support recommended by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Multiply one-half the distance from front to back times the weight of the lid + 2 = load range you need. Does not come with screws. Suggested screw 8 X 5/8 inch Screw - Round Head - Phillips.
